Pump trips breaker after filtering |
- Check amps to pump, see if there is a spike
- Motor takes too long to change speeds - replace it

GFI trips when power is activated |
- Low voltage
- Check wiring (make sure that the neutral and ground aren't tied together on 220v system)
- Bad part in spa {blower, element, pump}. Disconnect & reconnect each items 1 by 1 then power up and see what happens
- Verify wire AWG & the run for it.
- Bad GFCI

Trips when running for a period of time |
- Overheating [due to overdraw of current]
- Check wiring (all must be same AWG).
- Check for voltage drop. No more than 5% drop

Spa runs about 30min(or so) and trips |
- Let spa run and when it trips touch if breaker feels very hot - replace breaker
- Possible undersized wires
|
|
Heater is turned up and breaker trips
|
- Replace heater assembly. Short in the system
|
|
Intermittent tripping |
- Overheating [due to overdraw of current]
- Check wire {all must be same AWG}.
- Check for voltage drop. No more than 5% drop
- GFI is not a Square D. Other brands are made more sensitive to the power fluxuations in our spas.
